We are family farmers in Oriental NC. Our focus: specialty heirloom grains. Proud stewards of the land, we practice sustainable agriculture and are honored to have reintroduced rice farming to eastern North Carolina after a 125 year absence. We are totally hands-on from planting, harvesting, milling & packaging, to shipping to our customers. We love sharing recipes and educating consumers about the heirloom grains we grow. Our signature crops: Carolina Gold Rice & Santee Gold Long Grain Rice. Both available in white & brown rice, and middlins or rice grits. We also mill heirloom rice flour. This heirloom grain comes from a non-hybrid seed, making it a healthy choice and unique among most retail rice offerings. Our Carolina Gold Rice boasts a rich, nutty flavor. It’s versatile enough to be cooked as a light fluffy rice or a tasty sticky rice to use in risotto, soups or stews.
